Rescue Partner Information
The Casual Cat Café does NOT take in cats at the Café. We partner with rescues, shelters, and occasionally independent individuals who find themselves with a cat they need to find a home for.
The partners we work with are responsible for the cats and facilitate their adoption process including screening potential adopters and setting/collecting the adoption fee. From time to time, we will work with individuals who are not a part of a rescue or shelter. The Casual Cat Café (TCCC) acts as a temporary foster home that cares for the cats and showcases them for adoption (similar to PetSmart or Petco). If cats were to get sick or were showing behavioral issues, the partners are responsible for taking the cats back.
If you are interesting in partnering us, you will need to fill out a partner agreement. As a partner SOME of the things you will be agreeing to are:
Providing TCCC with copies of veterinary information.
Providing all necessary vetting and medical care for the cats.
Picking up your cat(s) as soon as reasonably possible if health, medical, or behavioral issues arise.
Retaining ownership of the cat until adopted.
Assuming responsibility for any injuries sustained by customers from the cats you place for adoption at our facility
If TCCC accepts to partner with you, the cat(s) you bring for adoption at the café will need the following prior to arriving:
Current Rabies and FVCRP shots.
Tested Negative for FIV/FELV
De-Wormed
Up-to-date on Flea Medication and Flea Free
Spayed/Neutered - at least 1-2 weeks post-op.
Microchipped (recommended)
Since, we typically house 12-15 cats at a time at the café, we may not always have space for your cat(s) right away. If that is the case, we will put you on our waitlist and will contact you as soon as a spot becomes available.
Once a cat is accepted and ready to come to TCCC, the cats will under go an intake process.
The Cat’s Foster/Sponsor will need to be Present the entire time of intake.
The Cat’s Foster/Sponsor needs to arrive no later than 2 hours before closing.
Provide copies of medical paperwork.
Monitor the cat in the lounge for at least 30 minutes for behavior.
Provide TCCC staff with information about the adoption process (contact info, adoption application process information, fee information, etc.).
The cats will undergo a thorough examination by the staff. We will be examining their eyes, ears, coat, trimming their nails, and taking their weight. Additionally, we will be looking at their demeanor. Shy/scared cats may start off in a transition cage if one is available. If the cat does not meet our health standards or if we have behavioral concerns, you will be asked to take the cat back home.
If you agree to the terms above and are wishing to partner with us. Please Click the link below to fill out our Partner Agreement. We will review it and get back with you when we are able to or when we have availability to accept cats. Thank you.
